In reality, a diet is far from what you will receive from working with a dietitian. Nutrition counseling doesn’t mean you are handed a diet and waved out the door. It means learning about you as a whole person, taking into consideration your health concerns, lifestyle, activity level, time constraints, and food preferences. Your concerns and wishes will be heard and addressed. Your questions will be answered. Based on your individual needs, your dietitian will work with you to create a plan that is meaningful to you. Your personal plan will likely evolve over time. Sessions may involve coaching or goal setting, identifying real-life barriers that may be preventing your success.

Most of all, you can count on reliable information from someone who is passionate about real food for real life.

Dietitians translate complex, evidenced-based knowledge into practical solutions tailored to each client or family. Registered Dietitians are regulated health care professionals who are held to a high level of professional conduct and care, just like medical doctors.
